Nash Open Back Plate Pro Harness

The Nash Open Back Plate Pro Harness is designed for goalies who want secure five-point backplate retention without covering the centre of a custom-painted backplate. Instead of joining the straps through a large central section, the individual elastic straps attach separately to the mask and backplate mounts. This open layout keeps more artwork visible while maintaining the familiar adjustment of a traditional goalie-mask harness.

Fit and installation considerations

Install each strap using the existing backplate and shell attachment points, then balance the tension so the backplate remains centred and the mask does not pull forward. Do not overtighten one strap to compensate for an incorrectly sized shell or compressed interior foam. Nash notes that its open-back design does not fit newer Warrior masks, so compatibility should be verified before ordering. Inspect all clips, domes and mounting holes whenever the harness is replaced.
