Warrior G7 Intermediate Pro Catcher

The Warrior G7 Intermediate Pro catcher provides the standard G7 catching shape in reduced dimensions designed for growing goalies, teenagers and smaller hands.

The G7 shape is wider than the longer G7.1 profile. Its index-to-mid-thumb closure creates a natural folding path across the palm and presents a broad catching surface toward the puck.

The removable 75-degree palm allows the internal hand component to be replaced or adjusted separately from the glove shell. This can help goalies refine the internal fit or replace a worn palm without replacing the complete catcher.

A HyperComp-reinforced core helps the glove maintain its structure, while the single-T pocket uses Warrior’s AxyFlex T construction to support quick closure when the puck enters the pocket.

The CoverEDGE+ design increases the presented catching area around the perimeter of the glove. The G7 Intermediate Pro may suit competitive developing goalies who want senior-style Warrior features in a smaller hand and cuff configuration.

Warrior G7.1 RTL Senior Pro Catcher

The Warrior G7.1 RTL Senior Pro catcher provides a different shape and closure from the standard G7.

The G7.1 extends farther through the fingers to create a longer catching profile. It closes from the index finger toward the lower portion of the thumb, producing a different hand angle and closure path than the wider standard G7.

Warrior uses sewn-in 75-degree finger positioning in the G7.1 RTL rather than the removable palm found in the standard G7 Pro. The redesigned cuff increases wrist mobility and allows the goalie to present or rotate the glove with less restriction.

A HyperComp-reinforced core helps the glove maintain its shape. The double-T pocket creates a wider pocket area, while AxyFlex construction allows the T sections to move and help the glove close around the puck.

CoverEDGE+ construction further increases the presented perimeter. The G7.1 RTL may suit experienced senior goalies who prefer a longer glove shape, low-thumb closure and mobile cuff.

This model may also be available through Warrior’s custom program when stocked colours or specifications are unavailable.

Warrior G7 Junior Catcher

The Warrior G7 Junior catcher is designed for young developing goalies who require smaller internal dimensions and a lighter glove than intermediate or senior equipment.

Its construction emphasizes quick, uncomplicated closure and manageable weight. The adjustable backhand strap helps hold the hand securely inside the glove, while the single-T skate-lace pocket provides a soft catching area.

The G7 Junior uses a clean, simplified construction that helps younger goalies open, present and close the glove without fighting excessive stiffness.

It may suit junior goalies who have outgrown youth gloves but do not yet have the hand size or strength required to control an intermediate catcher.

Warrior Surge S30 Junior Catcher

The Warrior Surge S30 Junior catcher is designed to provide young goalies with a game-ready feel and responsive closure.

Its ultra-light construction helps reduce strain on smaller hands and arms. The catcher is designed to close with minimal break-in, allowing the goalie to begin using it without needing to work through the stiffness often associated with larger gloves.

A large double-T pocket creates a deep catching area that helps cushion and retain the puck. Sewn-in microfiber materials form the internal hand area, while the adjustable backhand strap helps secure the glove.

The Surge S30 Junior may be a strong option for developing goalies who want easy closure, a large pocket and lighter overall construction.

Warrior Surge S30 Youth Catcher

The Warrior Surge S30 Youth catcher is made for smaller and younger goalies who are learning how to present, close and control a goalie glove.

The soft internal construction provides immediate comfort, while the adjustable backhand strap helps parents secure the child’s hand inside the glove.

A single-T pocket keeps the design uncomplicated and supports quick closure. The glove is intended to be easy to operate without requiring the hand strength needed for an oversized junior or intermediate catcher.

The S30 Youth should fit the child’s current hand dimensions. Moving into a larger glove too early can make it difficult to hold the catcher open, close it around the puck or keep it positioned correctly.

The standard G7 and G7.1 use different catching shapes and closure directions. Neither is automatically better; the preferred model depends on how the goalie naturally positions and closes the hand.

The Warrior G7 Junior catcher and blocker combination pairs the lightweight G7 Junior catcher with the matching junior blocker.

The Warrior G7 Intermediate Pro catcher and blocker combination pairs the G7 Intermediate Pro catcher with Warrior’s matching intermediate blocker.

A combination can provide strong value and coordinated graphics, but both gloves must fit correctly. Catcher fit and blocker palm fit should be evaluated independently before selecting a set.

Single-T vs. Double-T Catcher Pockets

Warrior catchers in this collection may use either single-T or double-T pocket construction.

Single-T Pocket

A single-T uses one central T-shaped support through the pocket. It can create a defined pocket channel and a direct, responsive closing feel.

Single-T pockets are found on the standard G7 Pro configuration, G7 Junior and Surge S30 Youth catcher.

Double-T Pocket

A double-T divides the pocket using two supports. This can create a wider and deeper catching area that helps cushion the puck and reduce pop-outs.

The G7.1 RTL Senior and Surge S30 Junior use double-T pocket designs. Selected colours or special G7 configurations may also use a double-T.

Pocket construction affects feel, but it should not take priority over the internal hand fit and closure direction.

Warrior Catcher Closure and Break Feel

The best catcher should close naturally with the goalie’s hand. A glove that forces the fingers and thumb into an uncomfortable direction may remain difficult to use even after it is broken in.

When comparing Warrior catchers, test:

• Where the index finger moves during closure
• Where the thumb meets the fingers
• Whether the glove closes fully
• How much hand strength is required
• Whether the palm feels too large or too small

Senior Warrior catchers use full senior external dimensions and internal hand sizing. The G7.1 RTL is the senior professional model currently represented in this collection.

Age provides only a starting point. Hand length, palm width, finger strength and overall control should determine whether the goalie needs youth, junior or intermediate sizing.

How Should a Warrior Goalie Catcher Fit?

The goalie’s hand should sit securely inside the catcher without excessive movement. The fingers should reach their intended positions and the thumb should remain comfortably supported.

During fitting, check that:

• The fingers reach the internal finger stalls
• The thumb remains secure without painful pressure
• The backhand strap can hold the glove comfortably
• The catcher does not rotate around the hand
• The goalie can open and close the glove repeatedly
• The cuff allows comfortable wrist movement
• The glove does not interfere with the chest protector sleeve

A catcher that is too large may feel heavy, rotate on the hand and remain difficult to close. A catcher that is too small may compress the fingers or thumb and limit protection.

Cuff Mobility and Chest Protector Compatibility

The catcher cuff should overlap comfortably with the chest protector sleeve without locking the wrist in place.

The goalie should be able to:

Regular and Full-Right Warrior Catchers

Warrior catchers may be available in regular and full-right orientations.

A regular goalie wears the catcher on the left hand and the blocker on the right. A full-right goalie wears the catcher on the right hand and blocker on the left.

Always confirm hand orientation before ordering. Full-right stock may be more limited in certain models, colours and sizes.

Caring for a Warrior Goalie Catcher
