Lexan Dangler

How Should a Goalie Neck Guard Fit?
A goalie neck guard should fit closely enough to remain positioned without creating painful pressure or restricting breathing.
During fitting, check that:
- The neck opening sits securely without choking

- The guard remains centred during head movement
- The closure stays secured
- The chest protector does not push the guard upward
- The mask does not catch on the guard
- The goalie can look down and rotate the head freely

Installing a Lexan Throat Protector
A suspended throat protector should be attached evenly through appropriate cage openings using suitable laces or mounting cords.
Adjust the hanging height so the guard:
- Covers the space below the mask
- Does not rise into the sightline
- Does not strike the chest protector constantly
- Allows full head rotation
- Moves without catching on the cage
Inspect the mounting holes and cords before every use. Replace the protector if the plastic cracks, develops sharp edges or separates around an attachment point.
Caring for a Goalie Neck Guard
Remove the neck guard from the equipment bag after every practice and game. Allow it to dry fully in a ventilated area.
For washable products:
- Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions
- Remove protective inserts when directed
- Secure Velcro before washing
- Avoid bleach unless specifically permitted
- Air-dry away from direct high heat
