Brian's Optik 4 Optional Elastic Upper Calf Strap

Brian's OPTIK 4 Optional Elastic Upper Calf Strap adds a higher connection point between the goalie leg and compatible leg pads. Often called a Professor Strap, it can create a more connected feel above the standard calf wrap while still using elastic to preserve movement. The replacement is intended for Brian's pads with the appropriate attachment points, including selected OPTIK 4, OPTIK 3, ICONIK and G-NETik 4 or 5 setups.

Upper-calf strap purpose

• Higher leg connection: Adds support above the primary calf strap.
• Elastic construction: Maintains controlled stretch through stance and butterfly movement.
• Professor Strap style: Helps some goalies keep the pad more connected during rotation.
• Replacement or optional use: Can restore a worn strap or add one to a compatible setup.
• Black colour: Blends with most internal pad strapping systems.

Verify attachment points before ordering

Compatibility depends on the pad’s internal tabs and existing calf-wrap design. Compare the mounting locations with the strap before installation or ask the store to confirm the specific model. Adjust both pads evenly and test the butterfly, recovery and RVH positions. The strap should improve connection without pulling the pad off the knee landing or preventing free rotation around the lower leg.
