Bauer JR. Lexan Throat Protector

The Bauer Junior Lexan Throat Protector adds clear suspended coverage below a junior goalie mask. The transparent polycarbonate dangler is intended to protect the open space between the cage and chest protector while allowing the goalie to look down and track the puck. Its junior dimensions help reduce excess overlap and interference on smaller masks and chest protectors.

• Suspended coverage: Lace mounting allows the protector to move independently below the cage as the goalie turns the head.
• Adjustable hanging height: Attachment position can be tuned to cover the throat without contacting the chest protector excessively.
• Broad Bauer-mask use: It can be used with many junior Bauer cages when mounting clearance and attachment points are appropriate.
• Supplemental protection: A Lexan dangler can be combined with a properly fitted bib-style neck guard when league rules or personal preference require it.

Installation and safety

Attach both sides securely and position the protector so it cannot rise into the cage opening or bind against the chest protector. Inspect the Lexan around the mounting holes and edges before every use, and replace it if cracking, sharp damage or severe clouding develops. This accessory does not replace a certified neck-laceration protector or other equipment required by a league.
